Jen is an on-location photographer who likes to work closely with her clients to create unique and natural images true to the personality of her subjects. Jen uses a casual approach to shooting and imposes little direction. She is looking to capture images when people are being themselves and are not aware of the camera. So, don’t be surprised if she doesn’t take her camera out right away. Early on, Jen’s focus is less on rushing into photography and more on getting to know her subjects and establishing a comfortable, playful atmosphere in a favorite place. This way, the smiles, laughter and wonderful moments will happen naturally for Jen to capture.
Set aside 1-2 hours so there is plenty of time for Jen to get to know you and your child, and more importantly for your child to get comfortable with Jen. Free playing, tantrums, frequent breaking for snacks, and bouncing from one activity to the next are all welcome parts of our session.
